The upcoming release is going to have banners, both global and board-specific, configurable by the admin.
Unfortunately, I'm not very creative when it comes to art and graphics and such, so contributions would be greatly appreciated. If you want to be credited, include your name/username in the filename. Banners should be approximately 300x100px, though of course nothing's stopping you from using a different resolution on your own site.
I'll post some fanart of Gochan's mascot in the thread for inspiration. I'd give credit, but unfortunately, I don't know who made them.
